Non Maternity Fashion For Growing Bumps

Hello! I cant believe I am posting about pregnancy! I have to say it feels as if it is my first as I have literally forgotten every step. I was so surprised by the first trimester sickness and exhaustion. Which makes me laugh now because I have no idea why I had forgotten just how tricky it can be. I have to say it hasn’t been too tough though. I haven’t been sick yet, only felt it. Due to previous miscarriages I have to be honest and say that the last 14 weeks haven’t been plain sailing. There has been a lot of anxiety which I am hoping will ease as times goes on. Mostly I am trying to take each day as it comes and enjoy what I can.

I wanted to focus this post on fashion because I haven’t even started to research what I need to buy for a newborn. I feel like everything has changed. All my friends babies have these new fancy anti colic bottles and snuzpods and we didn’t have any of those things!

This pregnancy I want to try to enjoy the fashion. Both my previous pregnancies have been over the winter so I’m excited about what fashion options a summer pregnancy offers. I want to, where possible, try to buy very little maternity fashion and instead try to find options that work for pregnancy and beyond. I have however, invested in a pair of maternity jeans because nothing else is comfortable. Mine are from ASOS and were really reasonable at around £25.

I think there is a lot of fashion out there that accommodates pregnancy without being dedicated to it. Styles like smock dresses, oversized shirts and dungarees are all my favourite things to wear anyway so I have had a look and put together some of my top picks.
