Holidays are one of those things where for most of us, we wait all year for it and really hope we have got it right. With that in mind I thought it might be useful to share what I thought of the hotel incase you are considering booking too.
If you haven’t been on a Sensatori holiday before then let me start by saying they’re expensive. I don’t really want to talk about whether it is worth the money or not because I am aware that it is all completely subjective to an individuals financial situation.
So why Sensatori? We went to one last year and we were blown away by the high standards of the hotel, kids club and activities they had to offer. With the tricky year we have had I just wanted to book somewhere that would be a guaranteed amazing break for us all. A great tip if you are considering Sensatori is to download the app and you can see all the activities that each hotel has to offer. They range from Yoga classes through to children’s bodyboarding. (all at no extra cost) You can see what the restaurants menus are, what the entertainment is like and so much more. Although you cant see past a few weeks in advance it gives you a great idea of what will be happening during your stay.
We have stayed at two Sensatori hotels now and the decor has always been so beautiful. Something that really stood out for me was the amount of areas for seating and sunbed’s. We never struggled to find somewhere to sit or sunbathe. We did get up and reserve our sunbed’s purely because we wanted to be in a shady spot for the boys otherwise this wouldn’t really have been necessary. There are signs to say that you aren’t meant to reserve beds however. Rule breakers!
It is around a four hour flight to Rhodes and Rhodes airport is currently being renovated which meant it was a little chaotic. The transfer is then 1hr and 15mins to the hotel but this is direct with no other drop offs which somehow made it seem easier. On arrival you are given food, drinks and hot towels. After check in you are taken to your room by a little golf buggy which the boys absolutely loved!
We chose not to have the swim up room though I think they would be absolutely amazing if your children were slightly younger and needed an afternoon nap. We instead decided to book the boys into Kids club from 2pm-4pm everyday. It is indoors in an air conditioned room which kept them out of the sun during peak times. Then we went up to our room at 5pm and they slept for an hour or so before getting ready for dinner.
The kids club is brilliant. They have a silly science lab and loads of activities which are different each day. The boys always came out really happy, with art work and having made new friends to play with around the pool. To be honest the standard of the children club has always been the reason I love Sensatori. The boys always want to go and I know if they weren’t in the club I would struggle to keep them out of the sun.
Lets talk food. The restaurant’s booked up fast and we only managed to get into Caprice which is an Italian restaurant. Which meant that the food in the main restaurant started to feel a little repetitive. The food is amazing however and there was plenty that even my two fussy eaters enjoyed. It was just a shame you needed a separate app for the alternative restaurants.
The hotel sits above a pebble beach. If you are a beach person then I would recommend getting the bus which leaves from the from of the hotel to Lindos, which has a lovely sandy beach and lots to explore. We didn’t get around to doing this as we were taking advantage of all the activities instead but we did talk to a few families who had done it and really recommended it.
We absolutely loved our holiday and are looking to book Sensatori again next year. We like to switch off, stay in the hotel and over indulge. If you are more of an explorer when it comes to holidays then maybe this isn’t the best option for you. However if you are the lazy holidayer, that likes drinks brought to you while you lay by the pool and watch your children do a class which you don’t have to parent then this is gonna be right up your street!

Literally just booked this lastnight to go next week and went into blind panic mode that we’d not made the right choice. Suddenly feeling much better!
Thanks x
Hi cara, really helpful review! I wondered if your kids were in the same group in kids club – mine are 3 and 6 and with Scott Dunn, usually get separated. Thanks!

I’m not 100% sure on this one as they have a nursery club too. My boys are 5&8 and we’re in the same club. No idea if that helps!
