Autumn is my favourite season for the whole season. Then, what do you know? I’m all over Winter like it is the new Autumn. I am fickle with my season preferences, granted, but the one thing I do love is the outfits that come with it. Well they don’t ‘come with it’ like a little parcel arrives as soon as the leaves fall. But you know what I mean.
Chunky jumpers, burnt orange tones and oh the boots, how I love the boots. I won’t ever show you my boot collection (I might) because I think you would be very worried about my finances, not to mention the storage space they take up. I think just by adding a pair of boots and a chunky cardigan or jumper all my summer dresses become wonderfully autumnal.
The season change has meant I have spent more time outdoors. It is that crisp but dry weather that makes afternoons strolling around cotswold villages so lovely. I have mostly been chasing the perfect colours for photography and the perfect pub lunch too. (If you are local The Gloucester Old Spot is my current favourite)
I wanted to show you some of my new additions to my wardrobe. This Tunic Spot Dress isn’t something that I would have normally chosen but I am so glad I did. I absolutely love the colour and I do want to be braver with my fashion choices. I don’t know if it is just me but there is something that wearing colour does to my mood. Making me feel a little bit brighter on the sometimes grey days we have in October. When the temperature starts to drop I will pop a pair of opaque tights with this.
These photos were taken in the next village to where we live and even though I have lived in this area most of my life I had no idea that it had such a cute little street of period houses.
Although my go to look is often a jumper and jeans, I love trying to find skirts that work well with my jumpers too. This faux leather skirt is so lovely and easy to dress up and down. I think it will see me through all seasons as in the warmer months it would look amazing with a white t-shirt and trainers too. I have been teaming it with this burnt orange snuggly jumper and wore it on a little trip to Broadway recently.

Jumper, Jeans and Animal print shoes. It is my uniform, my staple look. I guess because it is so easy and practical, yet absolutely not boring. Statement shoes making it so much more personal. These animal print shoes are so comfortable and great for this transitional weather and I am a huge fan of shoes you can just slide on. The jeans I am wearing are so comfortable I didn’t need to change into joggers at 4pm like I normally do after the school run!

I love the colours of these outfits. Isn’t Autumn just the best season for styling, I love a chunky knit and gorgeous boots. The orange dress looks great on you.
