In the interest of sounding busy I save these catch up posts until I have a few more things going on. The last one being back in September when I had different things to moan about.
Before we talk about ‘the stuff‘, I wanted to just talk about myself first. (General vibe of this blog seems to be me talking about myself in one form or another.) I have been taking a little work break recently. You may or may not have noticed the lack of sponsored content here or on my instagram. It has been really nice to not have as many deadlines and endless emails to be worrying about. I am always struggling with work/home life balance and this ‘job’ is a tricky one to get right. I am feeling refreshed now and ready to give 100% back to both my blog and my instagram. (Also read as – my money has run out)

Selling Our House
I am not sure if it is a ‘thing,’ moving house all the time. Is it a bug? Anyway we have put our house on the market with the mindset that the next one we buy we will settle down in. The problem so far being that there are no houses on the market that are right for us. I have my fingers crossed that, as we are moving into March, something will pop up on Rightmove and we will be in a good position to make an offer. Until then I am dreaming of the big kitchen and walk in wardrobe that our budget will not stretch to.
Pigeon Became A Pirate
The dog had his eye out. It doesn’t get much more gruesome than that does it? When we bought Pidge he had problems with his eye and at only a few months old had his first operation. The tear duct in his eye had completely stopped working and after paying for expensive eye drops for years, he unfortunately lost his vision. (Just in the one eye) The vet believed it was uncomfortable for him and recommended he had it removed. He is doing really well and looks slightly menacing now.
Being Braver
I made a decision to really work on not worrying what people think about me so much. It had actually got to a point where I was wearing dark colours and hiding under bobble hats. Hence the reason I bought this leopard print coat that I was in love with but didn’t feel confident enough to wear. I am just wearing it and so far nothing bad has happened!
Walking The Steps
I have recently signed up to walk 10,000 steps a day in March to raise money for cancer research. If you would like to donate I have put the link HERE. Or feel free to join me and do the challenge too.

Tea and cake would be great. Love the coat, you look fabulous in it. And, thanks again for making me laugh with your insta story this morning x
Can’t beat a bit of tea and cake and a good catch up chat. Would be fabbo! Great blog Cara. Love reading your posts and stories. Photos look smashing. X
Those who matter don’t mind and those who mind don’t matter. All that matters is you and your family. I have had a really rough few years and I can honestly say this is the most valuable lesson I have learned the hard way. You only get one crack at this life, make it the best one and be the best you. Best of luck with the house search x
Before I got to the bit about the coat I thought nice ensemble – rocking it Cara!
I missed your stories on your instabreak – enjoying all the nonsense (sorry high-quality content) being back 🙂
Absolutely loved another honest post Cara, however not happy about HAVING to now purchase this coat of dreams 😍 does anyone know what the sizing is like from Romans?? I’m normally a 10-12?
