I’m guessing that Spring is probably the season to start thinking about fresh starts. It’s around that time that the days get lighter, you have failed to keep any New Years resolutions and you can finally open all your windows and let some air in. For me, however I spend most of the year just going with the flow and never giving anything too much thought until around Autumn. I guess it’s because it gets colder and darker that I get stuck indoors a little more. I’m a little less social and on the whole just not as busy. Quiet times always lead me to think about what goals I have and if I am on the right path.
To Blog More
I have had the longest period where I have struggled to know what to write. Maybe because I always feel like I should have something ground breaking to talk about each post. Looking back however I don’t think I have ever said anything ground breaking. (and possibly not even that interesting!) I am going to take the pressure off myself and just write what is on my mind. The aim is two posts a week. After all my blog is three years old now, I should dedicate the time to it that it deserves.
Nothing new with this one and I have mentioned it before, but if I don’t get outdoors each day my mood gets low very quickly. I am a home bird and very happy in comfy clothes indoors with candles burning but actually it isn’t good for me. Autumn is always the season where I find I haven’t left the house much (other than for the school run and sometimes thats just me jumping in the car) I want to make sure I’m outdoors for at least 1-2hours everyday.
I want to invest in some really good skincare this month. I have ran out of all the products I have been previously using. So I am now left with all the odd sample pots from my Birchbox subscription and my skin has started to get really bad again as a result. I would love any recommendations!
Phone Free Time
I have already started to limit the time I spend on my phone when I am around the children. I want to also start giving myself time in the evenings where I don’t check social media. I find it very easy to fall into a trap of comparing myself to others and I actually find I am happier about who I am when I spend less time on Instagram.
Enrol On A Photography Course
I know I’ve been saying this for a while but I plan on really researching online courses and I would like to enrol as soon as possible because autumn is my favourite season to photograph so I don’t want to miss the boat! So many amazing colours everywhere!
