The start of the school year is my absolute favourite and every year I invest in a full, top to toe brand new uniform. I love the crisp fresh start and how incredibly smart Harbor always looks. It’s not that his clothes don’t last him to wear again into the second year, it’s more that his clothes seem to be the boomerang kind and have had various journeys into lost property and other peoples PE kits before finally resurfacing with some unidentified stains on.
Tesco has saved me so many times through the year because it’s just so easy to pop in and add to anything that is missing. From water bottles all the way through to new school tops. This year the school section has grown in my local Tesco and I have been able to get absolutely everything for him. Including the warmest parka coat! I am such a lazy shopper when it comes to practical purchases so for me, being able to just get everything he needs while I’m doing the food shop is so convenient. (Not to mention gaining the club card points too!)
Shoes are scuff resistant!
Harbor has had such a growth spurt this year that he is finally wearing age 6 clothes. This is the first time ever that he is wearing his actual age. I love his new skinny fit trouser mainly because they have a stain repellent finish – the joys of having a football mad child means he is covered head to toe in mud and grass stains everyday! Luckily Tesco have the stain repellent finish on all polo shirts and most trousers and shirts.
I feel like I am organised fairly early this year. All I have left to buy is his school bag and I wanted to make sure he was with me to chose this as I’m completely out of touch with what he considers ‘cool’ *Prays it’s not minions. Have you started getting all the school uniform ready yet? If not then I can’t recommend the Tesco uniform section enough this year. The choice has grown and the quality is always fab.
