Shoes For Chasing Toddlers.

Fashion is a funny thing. It can make you feel like a hundred different people depending on your outfit. It can make you happy, self conscious or strut like John Travolta’s back in town. I love fashion and I miss my days of living in London where you could wear anything you wanted and be anyone you wanted.

So many things effect my fashion choices. Mostly being a mum is the biggest factor. I cant totter around in heels anymore. I need to be stylish and yet ready to run after an escaping 3 year old at any given moment. I need pockets for tissues and big handbags full of wipes. My clothes have to work well with numerous different outfits because have you seen the price of lego?

Since making blogging my career I have felt more inclined to try harder with fashion again. As with many of us, it was my priority before children. Yet now if I go out shopping I just find myself stood in the boys section of Zara having completely walked past the latest Instagram trend frilly blouse oblivious. I guess that is the measure of love, that and the fact that bean juice (Heinz or otherwise) stain toddlers clothes. I never learn that lesson and the ‘clothes for nursery pile’ is enormous as a result.

Each day these little changes are making me feel so much more confident about myself. I know that new clothes shouldn’t be what you base your happiness on, but we cant afford a Range Rover so its the next best thing. I don’t know if there is a formula to it but I’m pretty sure that the longer you are a mother for, the better you get at getting your shit together. When I first had a baby I didn’t even want to leave the house. Some of that was down to the growing out of a pixie cut and too many home hair dyes. The most part however was my internal dialogue ‘Must not break the baby’. I am a million miles away from that mother now and it feels amazing.

I just need to rave a little bit about these shoes. I wore them for the first time today and I just kept stopping and ‘oohing’. Comfortable, a little bit of height and just so so gorgeous! I shouldn’t say it, because I don’t play favourites with my shoes but these are my absolute favourite.

Also, I did the school run in this outfit and no one has cast me out!

I want to say a huge thank you to Katrina for taking these pictures for me, for standing in the rain with me and most of all for not judging when I totally changed my outfit in the middle of the street.

Can I just say you totally rock the coat FAR better than the model on their website – New Look sign Cara up!!! I’d have never brought the coat from their pictures but yours…..I’m sold!
Being a blonde I’ve always thought I had to stay clear of yellow tones but you’ve rocked it and I too will try and be a funky school run mum 😎

You’ve got fashion nailed lady! A lot of friends have messaged me after seeing this outfit on my insta story cooing over how much they love it! And those shoes get all the heart eyes – I’m a little obsessed. Loved working with you today, let’s get together again soon for some more stripping in the street and Hijacking of barber shops ☺️

Love the entire outfit and those shoes are just darling! As for the bean juice, have you tried rubbing a little washing up liquid into it before popping in the wash? Always works a treat for my almost 3 year olds togs 😉

Oh my I need those shoes in my life 💕 Love your style xx
Ps. I always stripped my kids to their vests when they ate anything that might stain their clothes lol
