The Homeware Edit. Spring.

I know we have only just said goodbye to Christmas and I know you guys are gonna be like Crikes Cara let me digest my mince pie first but I want to talk about spring. I want to talk about putting away those faux fur throws and sheep skin rugs and start thinking about a few home wear items that work well with the brighter days that are coming.

Leaf print.

Its not easy for me to simply introduce bold designs or prints to my home. The period features sometimes can be restricting so I have kept that in mind when writing this post. Some of you may live in more forgiving houses where you can splash Cole & Son wallpaper all over the place and boy do I envy you.

I have recently purchased this leaf trivet from H&M This gorgeous leaf dish is from Cox and Cox which is an amazing home wear shop. Cushion of dreams (Sorry for the blurry picture) take a better look at it on Rose & Grey and then trusty H&M for this lovely bedding.

Instagram trends

Instagram is a tricky sausage sometimes because you could be happily scrolling and then you stumble on something you thought was shit and oh god little miss Pinterest has styled it and suddenly its a can’t live without it item. Like how did you wake up this morning without a light box/peg board/Emma Bridgewater mug. I have found some of those items for you.

Barn stars (Guilty of this one!) Cox and Cox Metal letter Anthroplogie Gold wire basket H&M and peg board from Rose and Grey

Mugs

For me a new mug is a game changer. Its an instant pick me up. I drink a lot of tea and its always nice to have something thats great to Instagram. No I don’t live my life by Instagram but theres no harm in drinking your tea by it.

Top left Hot chocolate mug from Oliver Bonas Pink mug with gold handle from Anthropologie Leopard print mug from H&M  Dip dye mug from good old M&S Stripe mug from Anthropologie Kate Spade cake for breakfast mug from John Lewis

In a few weeks time the kitchen is being extended. (ever so slightly) So I am planning a mug shelf and will definitely be buying all of these mugs! Ill be like the little old lady who lived in her mugs.

Other ways to refresh your home are a bloody good doormat. Im always being mats because ours always get so muddy and well Im just always buying anything I can, to be honest. I shop my tits off.

So we have got this hello one from John Lewis and this beauty from Oliver Bonas

Just before Christmas I planted loads of daffodil bulbs in the garden and these are coming up now. I have some in little galvanised tubs in the house too. Im ready for you spring!

    Loving the blog Cara!

FYI, for anyone wanting the metal wire letters, hobbycraft have some pretty similar ones that are a little less pricey. Especially if you’re like me and always need two initials, one for me and one for my partner!

    Xx
