Wrap Them Up Warm

Wrap Them Up Warm

I love that we are moving into the colder months. It’s always the start of Autumn that I get excited about the smell of apple and cinnamon candles and the dark cosy evenings. It always seems like  the most magical time with the gorgeous low sunlight on the leaves. Except in reality it’s the time when we have the battle of the Winter coat.

My boys are happy hat wearers, delighted by dressing gowns and slippers but completely horrified that should we leave the house they might have to wear a coat.

After a long summer of watching Paddington Bear on repeat and letting them eat marmalade sandwiches every lunchtime, I had already planned that a duffle coat would be my game plan.

They are still at that age where they are happy to match. However I can’t cope with hunting around labels trying to work out which one belongs to which. So I have started buying matching items in different colours now.

There is something about a duffle coat that says ‘childhood’ and ‘Enid Blyton’ to me. Either that or I’m getting confused with little red riding hood.

So tonight, with the bribe of after school park time, we gave the new coats a trial. I may have talked about Paddington ALOT tonight and as a result the coats were a hit. They are so cosy. It’s nice to have the confidence that I’m sending Harbor to school and he will be so warm.

One little victory to mummy. Now just to work on gloves….

These coats are from JoJo Maman Bebe and they have an exclusive multibuy offer on them until Monday 31st October, If you buy any 2 coats in any style and in any size and you get £10 off.
