Hallway

As with most of my blog posts I forgot to take a before photo. Luckily I found a photo of our hallway that you wouldn’t know when it was taken. πŸ™„

We moved into our house last July and it has these old cream carpets throughout which we intend to change.

With this picture (from Pinterest) as my inspiration we wanted to change the flooring to travertine tiles. Luckily Si has some experience with laying tiles from renovating our previous houses and he knows the first trademan rule of pencil behind the ear.

It has been a long and messy process and as with most things it leads into the next job. We now have to paint all the woodwork white, change the carpet on the stairs (and therefore all the bedrooms upstairs) I am on the hunt for the perfect settle. This one being the dream.

So this is where we are so far.

The tiles were fromΒ Travertine tiles uk.

Loving your hall way look! We are currently redecorating our cottage and love the colour of your skirting boards and doors, injects a bit of colour whilst still keeping it looking fresh and clean! Any chance you could tell me the brand and shade of it please?
    Thanks xx
