I am a mixture of emotions about my garden. Embarrassment, impatience and stressed to name a few.
Si has booked a few days off work around the bank holiday to tackle it. He is even wearing workmen socks.
Sometimes I’ve no idea why we bought a cottage because my tastes always match Victorian houses much better. But I have been sticking with ‘do what you love and hope it works’
So over the last few days we have removed loads of patio and Si created a patio area by the garage (which was an ugly concrete slab)
Next jobs are to remove the rest of that vine, paint the garage and I intend on hiding the widows with a vertical garden.
I also want wooden garden furniture because we have gone through so much rattan it’s ridiculous.
There are so many of the big things to be thinking about but obviously I’m focusing on the pretty.
Loving this throw and cushion from esprit
I have also found this gorgeous mirror to go on the garage (eBay)
A potting bench, because (watch this space) I’m a keen gardener now. (Also eBay)
And the perfect stand for a family that love hunters! (Also eBay)
I’ll update you with some more pictures over the next few weeks. Hoping things can only get better!

Do you have the description for the wellie boot holder on eBay? Been searching for it and can’t find anything like it. Thanks
I love this all! I have had a post waiting to publish on the garden for a month now but had been waiting on the grass to grow back for my after pics 😂 xx
Si has done a great job on the patio Cara! Great work, and I’m loving the wellie boot holder!
