It’s goodbye donuts day.

I’ve been reading some articles about how being positive can actually have health benefits. I assume it’s because if you are positive in difficult situations you manage stress levels better, and as a mother of a toddler who has been known to stick his finger up his brothers bum (story for another day) I have my fair share of stress.

So today I have woken up determined to change my own opinion of my body. I don’t like how I look. But beating myself isn’t helping.

I am the girl who cries about her tummy at the same time as eating three donuts. I guess you could say I often look slightly unhinged.

I even have got myself a motivational cup from Tillyanna!

So I think I am actually going to do something about my body. I’m not here expecting the world but I do want to be fitter and I do want to see changes. That right now, is enough for me.

This weeks meal plan is a tough one because I want to put the effort in while I still feel determined.

Breakfast and lunch are Cute Meal Replacement drinks. Dinner will be either my Hellofresh meals or a jacket potato with salad. Snacks will be fruit.

(I have a meal out on Thursday which might out a spanner in the works)

I am intending on doing 5 HIIT sessions from Joe Wicks YouTube channel. First session done today!

I guess I’m sharing this with you because I’ll look like a knob if I don’t stick to it.

So brace yourself….

This is me now. Monday 16th May. 9 stone 10lbs

If anyone is local and completely unfit and wants to run with me then please say!

A few tips I wish someone had told me when I started! Don’t think about it too much, and stock up on healthy snacks that taste like they’re naughty like Nakd bars (defo recommend the Bakewell Tart). There is also a youtube channel called fitness blender. They have been amazing for me and I love them, they do a 8 week program too that literally costs about £8 and it’s worth it! Good luck, you still look fab! X

Well done you. I’ve been saying ‘I’ll start my fitness regime on Monday’…for about the last 52 Monday’s!!!
We’ve booked our first holiday since our honeymoon 2yrs ago, with the in laws, so that gives me a goal to get beach-ready for. Hopefully that’ll motivate me…
I’ve also lost a lot of weight, so I’ve been told, since following a complete plant-based diet since Jan. Completely healthy & with no additional exercise. I’ve just basically cut out the crap, which coincidentally means I have hugely reduced my sugar intake. With no exercise, sugar turns straight to fat which I think was my downfall for years. I literally eat all the time, it’s a running joke that I’ve always got food in my mouth at work!! But snack on nuts, berries & raw paleo bars (which definitely taste better than any candy bar!). I used to crave the sugar at first, but now I don’t miss it.
I’m no health expert by any means, certainly not on the exercise front, but I’m pretty confident in my diet and I would definitely advise you to not diet as such, if you’re hungry then eat – just eat the good stuff!! Oh, and up your water content. It’s so good for you and fills you up to a certain extent. I’m just starting to up it myself…does mean you’ll be running to the loo for a wee more often, but your bladder will get used to holding more in time (so I’ve been told!)
Thanks for the inspiration Cara x
